Five years of popular demonstrations suppressed by force, nearly two and a half years since the High Court of Justice ordered to change the route of the wall, dozens of nightly army invades into the village, hundreds of arrests, dozens of trials, leaders in jail or prohibited of taking part in the demonstration – and the struggle continues!

Israeli detention of Palestinian activists must end

Call for the release of Bil'in's prisoners

12/12/2009

38 residents of Bil’in were arrested after the beginning of a night raid campaign on 23 June 2009. Raids began concurrently with the opening of a legal trial in Montreal. Bil’in has taken two companies registered in Canada to court for participating in war crimes by building settlements on village’s land.

Three things you can do :

  1. Protest by contacting your political representatives, as well as your consuls and ambassadors to Israel
  2. Organise demonstrations outside of Israeli embassies in your countries
  3. Donate to the Bil’in legal fund

Write the LA Times in support of Bil'in

04/11/2009

The LA Times has published a great article about Bil’in and the popular struggle in today’s edition (November 4th).

As past experience teach us, an assault by Israel’s supporter is sure to follow immediately, and be directed at both the paper itself, its editors and the reporter.

These attacks are beyond mere nuisance – they apply real pressure on those targeted, and often dissuade major media from covering Palestinian issues in an objective and truthful manner.
