The Israeli army on Tuesday invaded the village of Bil’in, located near the central West Bank city of Ramallah, kidnapping one international.

Troops entered the village at around 1:00 am, surrounded the house of Iyad Bornat, head of the local Popular Committee Against the Wall and Settlements, forced the residents out, and then ransacked the home.

During the search, a Polish activist from the International Solidarity Movement was abducted after he attempted to prevent Israeli soldiers from attacking Bornat’s family.

In a phone interview, Iyad told IMEMC that this was the ninth time his home had been attacked by Israeli soldiers, adding that the military had provided no justification for the unprovoked violence.

Iyad Burnat is one of the founders of the Popular Committee Against the Wall and Settlements. He was been the victim of Israeli brutality and kidnappings on many different occasions.
