Anti-Wall organizer remains in coma after tractor crash with Wall last week

[IMEMC] Emad Bornat, documentary film maker of Bil’in, Palestine, who toured throughout Puerto Rico and the North East US with Tito Kayak, has been in a coma in Tel Aviv Hospital for about a week now. He sustained critical injuries when the brakes and gears of his tractor failed, and he collided into the barbed wire fence of the Israel’s occupation wall that cuts his village land in two.

In addition to the ongoing demonstrations in Ma’sra, Ni’lin and Bi’lin, the two new weekly actions in Jayyous and against the Homesh settlement to the north of Nablus gained momentum. All demonstrations were forcefully repressed by Occupation forces, resulting in numerous injuries.

Barak approved settlement expansion despite Road Map

[Ha’aretz] Defense Minister Ehud Barak has approved dozens of construction projects in the West Bank in recent months, contradicting Israel’s commitments to the Road Map, Haaretz has learned. Barak also approved the marketing of hundreds of housing units in settlements.

Some of the permits for construction projects were granted in settlements to the east of the separation fence, which are beyond the areas the state defines as "settlement blocks" and it expects to retain under Israel’s control following a permanent agreement with the Palestinians.

IDF asks police, Shin Bet for info on left-wing figures active in W. Bank

[Ha’aretz] The Israel Defense Forces has asked the Shin Bet security service and the police to provide it with information on left-wing figures active in the West Bank so it will be easier to issue restraining orders against them, Haaretz has learned.
