Eight wounded in Bilin peaceful demo against the Wall

8 demonstrators were injured in Bil’in village by Occupation bullets during a weekly demonstration which is organized by the Popular Committee Resisting the Wall in the village, at the same time, Information Minister Mustafa Al Burghouthi called for broader massive and popular loop against the Apartheid Wall and Jewish settlement activities during a sit-in held on expropriated lands in Wadi Rahal in Bethlehem city.

Hundreds of demonstrators yesterday in a crowded march took to the streets of the village, The demonstrators bore Palestinian flags, repeating chants against the Occupation and the Wall.

Abed Allah Abu Rahma, co-coordinator of the Popular Committee Resisting the Wall in the village said that the occupation soldiers were stationed at the metal gate and barred the demonstrators to reach the confiscated lands. Violent confrontations between Occupation forces and hundreds of demonstrators occurred during a crowded demonstration. The soldiers wittingly use their batons and guns, firing stun grenades and tear gas canisters at random.

Abu Rahma reported that 8 demonstrators were injured among were Danish solidarity peace activist. He added that the occupation troops had taken over two houses and used them as military posts to shoot the demonstrators.

Anti-Wall protest in Bethlehem

Information Minister Mustafa Al Burghouthi called during a sit-in organized on confiscated lands in Wadi Rahal of Bethlehem, for more popular activities against the Apartheid wall and settlements throughout the entire Palestinian districts on next Friday, which marks Land Day on 30/3/2007.

"We have to step up the popular loop to fall down the Wall and cramp down the Israeli covetousness and sweep the occupation." he asserted that the Palestinian people will not cede his right in this land and the justice of his national project and his goals of liberty and sovereignty and establishment of an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem the capital.
