Israeli Army raids village and arrests Bilin Resident

Israeli Occupation forces raided Bilin Village last night at 3:00 am. Six military vehicles swept through the village and invaded the home of the El-Khatib family. Tareq El-Khatib, 24 years of age, was arrested in front of his parents, wife, and children. The family was given no reason for the arrest and Israeli soldiers refused to inform the family of the location where Tareq would be held.

Bilin Friends of Freedom and Justice demand the release of Tareq and call for the end of unjustified arrests by the Israeli army who have, in more than 50 incidents, arrested and jailed local villagers in an effort to weaken Bilin’s resistance to the Apartheid Wall and illegal settlements.
