The Prime Minister had his Ramadan breakfast in Bil'in

With the presence of the Prime Minister Dr. Salam Fayyad, the Minister of Waqf and Religious affairs Mr. Mahmoud al-Habash, two members of the PLC Mr. Muheeb Awad and Qais Abu Laila, two members of the Revolutionary Council, Mr. Mousa Abu Zaid and Bassam Zakarneh and the Director of the Presidential Commission to oversee the aid Mr. Zafer Nubani, the Popular Committee Against the Wall in Bil’in has arranged a Ramadan breakfast with funding from the Crescent UAE Red and in coordination with the Presidential Commission to supervise the aids.

Although participated in the breakfast, members of village councils and regulatory sites and important personalities of the western region in the Ramallah area, in addition to the members of the People’s Committees in all the province of the country from Jordan Valley, Tulkarem, Hebron and East Jerusalem and the northern villages of Ramallah.

After having the breakfast, the participants prayed the sunset “Maghrieb” prayer. Following that, the popular committee welcomed all the participants and updated them on the latest news related to the struggle of Bil’in against the construction of the wall and settlements, and on what Bili’in village is facing from the raids and arrests. The Popular committee has thanked the Prime Minister for his interest in the issue of building the wall and his unlimited support of the committee, and thanked the participants for bearing tiredness of travel to participate in this breakfast which sends a rejection message to the construction of the wall.

In his speech, The Prime Minister Salam Fayad, stressed on the need to continue the popular resistance and stressed on his willingness to support this kind of struggle through the provision of the potential of endurance by praising Bil’in achievements against the Wall in terms of access to the demolition of the wall order, through decisions of Israeli courts or at the global level through the imposition of boycotting and in particular what happened yesterday as the Norwegian government answered Bil’in’s message, which calling for stop supporting companies that supporting the construction of settlements and the wall.

The little girl Nariman from Dier Qedees has presented a poem which expresses its solidarity with the prisoners, although the evening concluded with a singing performance by the artist Fathi Barghouthi, as he expressed the steadfastness of Bil’in and memorized the hero martyr Basem Abu Rahma, although he expressed his support to the development policy of Dr. Salam Fayad.

On the other hand, the popular committee in Bil’in has thanked the UAE Red Crescent Authority for funding the Ramadan breakfast, which includes all governorates of the West Bank and Gaza, and thanked the UAE government and people, as the popular committee expressed their impression on the UAE government and people actions toward the Palestinian people and Palestinian question.
