Today the Canadian Parliament members present were : Libby Davies of Vancouver area, and of the New Democratic Party, Boris Wrzesnewskyj of the Toronto area and the Liberal Party, and Richard Nadeau, of Gatineau and the Bloc Quebecois.

Dozen Suffocated with tear gas at Bili’n’s weekly demonstration

Tens were suffocated with tear gas, fired by Israeli soldiers at Bili’n’s weekly demonstration. Where Bil’in citizens, Israeli and International peace activists demonstrated after the Friday prayers, waving Palestinian flags and banners with slogans calling for the release of the popular leaders, Muhammad Khatib and Adib Abu Rahma, and the rest of the other detainees, and calling for ending raids and prosecution of activists and members of the People’s Committee against the wall.

At 3am, the occupation forces invaded the village of Bil’in. A total of some 200 soldiers with combat paint in their faces and masks entered the village on foot at several points of entry. 5 homes were raided and a total of 8 people were arrested, 7 Palestinians and one international activist from the United States
