Two children taken to hospital after latest military incursion in Bil’in

[Popular Struggle] Israeli soldiers enter the village of Bil’in with three military jeeps. Clashes broke out which lasted for over one hour. The clashes only ended when two children, aged 14 and 15, were hit with rubber coated steel bullets and taken to hospital. Soldiers are still on the outskirts of the village.

Bil’in Conference on Popular Resistance ends with mass demonstration

[Popular Struggle + Mondoweiss] The 6th annual Bil’in conference on Palestinian popular resistance ended this afternoon with a mass demonstration against the wall and occupation. Over three hundred people from all over the West Bank, Israel and the international community. The demonstration was held in memory of Bil’in’s Bassem Abu Rahmah, who was killed by an Israeli tear gas canister two years ago during an unarmed demonstration. Many injuries were reported including the beating of Popular Struggle Coordination Committee director Mohammad Khatib.

Hundreds Celebrated Popular Struggle at the opening of the 6th Bil'in Conference

[Popular Struggle] Dozens of diplomats and senior figures from across the Palestinian political spectrum joined hundreds of activists in the opening of the 6th International Bil’in Conference on Popular Resistance. Palestinian Prime Minister Salam Fayyad, called for the international community to promote Palestinian self determination.

Bilin Protester shot with live ammunition by sniper

[Popular Struggle] The protester, a 35 year old resident of the village was hit in his shoulder and foot by 0.22 mm live bullets shot at him by a sniper during a protest in memory of Vittorio Arigoni, murdered tonight in gaza. Live ammunition was also used in the village of Nabi Saleh.
