Three protesters injured at Bil’in weekly Protest

On the 26th September 2008 after the Friday prayer, the residents of Bil’in, joined by international and Israeli solidarity activists, held a demonstration against the apartheid wall and the confiscation of their land. The protesters carried banners for the 8th anniversary of the Al-Aqsa intifada. They called for a third Intifada to remove the wall, stop settlement construction, remove checkpoints, open roads and stop the confiscation of Palestinian land. They also called to break Israeli racism and for the freedom of Palestinian detainees.

The residents of Bilin joined by international and Israeli peace activists gathered to demonstrate against the Wall and settlement building. Today is the 26th anniversary of Sabra and Shatila massacre. The protesters raised the Palestinian flag and condemned the massacres against the Palestinian people.

One Italian Solidarity Activist Injured in Bil'in Weekly Demonstration

Despite the hot summer and the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan, a protest joined by internationals and Israeli peace activists marched from Bil’in after the Friday prayer. The protesters chanted and called for the end of the occupation, settlement building and the release of Palestinian detainees.

One Injured and Ten Suffer Tear Gas Inhalation

Mohammad Jaber Daraghmeh was shot with a rubber bullet in the head today during the weekly protest against the Wall in Bilin. Daraghmeh was transferred to Sheik Zaid hospital in Ramallah to receive medical treatment. Ten protesters also suffered tear gas inhalation.

Five Injured in Bilin Weekly Demonstration

Today on the 15th of August 2008 after the Friday Prayers, the inhabitants of Bil’in, Israeli, and international peace activists participated in a demonstration against the wall. They raised Palestinian flags and signs with slogans that condemn the policies of the occupation. The slogans condemned the construction of the wall, the confiscation of Palestinian lands for the construction of settlements, the road closures, and the seizure of Palestinian villages, towns, and cities. The protesters also carried signs with slogans against the killing of innocent civilians, especially children.
