A large number of Israeli occupation army soldiers (IOF) again attacked The Freedom Flotilla in the village of Bil’in. During the weekly march, seven people, including three journalists were injured, three activists were arrested, and there were dozens of cases of suffocation as a result of the inhalation of tear gas.
Before the start of the march, participants held a minute of silence and mourning and read verses for the souls of martyrs of The Freedom Flotilla to Break the Siege on Gaza. Dr. Rateb Abu Rahmeh, media coordinator of the Popular Committee against the Wall and settlements, said in his speech, « We stand today in honor of the martyrs of The Freedom Flotilla and send salutations to all who participated and organized and funded The Freedom Flotilla. We commend Prime Minister Erdogan of Turkey, Kuwait, Ireland, Sweden, Algeria, Greece. We demand more participation from the Arab countries, international officials and popular movements in order to enlarge support for The Freedom Flotilla 2 ».

Huwaida Arraf, Chairwoman and one of the passengers on the Freedom Flotilla to Gaza was arrested today by Israeli Border Police at the weekly nonviolent demonstration in Bil’in.

After the Friday prayer, dozens of Israeli, international, and Palestinian demonstrators marched toward the site of the Separation Wall. Upon reaching the gate, the Israeli army responded almost immediately by firing tear gas canisters directly into the crowd. They also fired sound bombs and rubber bullets at the demonstrators. Two were injured as a result: Mustafa al-Khateeb of Bil’in was skimmed on his side by a bullet, and 28-year-old Israeli photographer Edo was injured on his left leg. They were treated on the spot.

Today, May 27, 2010 at noon the Israeli army invaded the village of Bil’in again. A woman was heard shouting, "Soldiers are taking my sons!". A villager went to her house and saw 10 soldiers walking in the field with two of her sons they were detaining. They were Ramsy Mohammed Ali Yasseen (24 years old) and Abdullah Mohammed Ali Yasseen (17 years old). Shortly after a verbal intervention between this villager and the soldiers in the open field, they released the older brother Ramsy Mohammed Ali Yasseen, but arrested Abdullah Mohammed Ali Yasseen, blindfolded and handcuffed him and took him away to an unknown location. Their home is situated close to the Apartheid Wall and is being raided on a regular basis. A couple of months ago, another brother had been arrested and released after two weeks in prison. Simultaneously, one Jeep was seen in another part of the village at the time when all the children had finished school and were walking home.

A disabled child were injured and three Israeli activists arrested today, And dozens of cases of suffocation as a result of inhaling the tear gas fired by the Israeli Occupation Forces in the village of Bil’in, today along with internationals and Israiles activists people from the village run the weekly march against the wall and settlements in the 62 anniversary of the Nakba.
