26 years old critically wounded in Bil'in

14/06/2008

Ibrahim, a regular participant in the Bil’in demonstrations for the past three years, had already been injured numerous times, but this is the most serious one yet. The bullets that pierced his leg had ripped an artery and a vain and caused local nerve damage, of which the long term implications are still not clear.

During the operation Ibrahim was given numerous blood transfusions that saved his life, but he is still in constant need of AB+ blood transfusions at large quantities and have already received 11 counts. Recipients of AB+ blood type can usually receive from any blood donor, but due to Ibrahim’s harsh condition the doctors prefer the transfusions to be of the original blood type only.

Those in Ramallah area can donate blood for Ibrahim, please call Sarah at 0523991897

Telling lies about Bil’in

07/06/2008

Today, once again, the Israeli military lied to its citizens and the rest of the world.

In an article published on the 6th June by Ynet, the online version of the Israeli mass daily Yedioth Ahronoth, the Israeli military claimed that it was justified in attacking an anti-wall and occupation demonstration, in which an Irish Nobel Peace Laureate and the Vice President of the European Union participated, because demonstration participants were “rioting” and “throwing stones” at the Israeli military.
