A film by Alexandre Goetschmann and Guy Davidi.
A one day in life acquaintance of Palestinian workers in a city under construction on their village land. Looking for a daily salary they paradoxically nurture the building of the fence.
« Bil’ in, village at the foot of the wall » is the first stage of a documentary plan aiming at highlighting bloodless action in Palestine. With hindsight of the predominant media picture of the Palestinians and the Israeli, which postulate the absence of exit in conflict, this documentary offers a look on the use of bloodless methods in conflict for the independence of the Palestine.
Directed by Shai Carmeli-Pollak : « I did not come to Bil’in as a filmmaker, but as an activist, to take part in the protest against the land theft caused by the separation barrier. For a year and a half, I used my camera to document the moments of despair and hope, danger and courage and the birth of true partnership between Palestinians and Israelis. During this period the village has become a symbol of the joint struggle against the barrier and the occupation. »
