The residents of Bil’in today gathered after the Friday prayer in an act of solidarity with the people of Gaza. They were joined by international activists and the Israeli Anarchists Against the Wall, all opposing the war on Gaza. The protesters carried Palestinian, Venezuelan, and Bolivian flags, in a show of support for the two South American countries who, this week, cut diplomatic ties with Israel due to the war on Gaza.

The residents of Bil’in gathered in a protest today after the Friday prayer. The protest was joined by Israel and international activists standing in solidarity with Palestinians and opposing the war on Gaza, Israeli settlement building and the construction of the wall. Protesters carried Palestinian flags and the Venezuelan flag, in appreciation of Venezuela’s removal the Israeli ambassador from his post.

[AATW] Friday noon, around the same time as the Israeli Cabinet rejected the UN’s Security Council ceasefire resolution and Foreign Minister Livni promised "Israel is not going to show restraint", activists were taking part in the weekly Friday demonstrations of Bil’in, Jayyous and Ni’ilin. Residents of these three villages (and of many others) protested against the construction of the Apartheid Wall, Israeli settlements, and against the war on Gaza.
